Healing Life’s Hurts

Healing life’s hurts, Inner Healing, Healing prayer ministry, Godly Counsel, Setting the Captives Free, Freedom in Christ, Restoring the Foundations, Healing and wholeness and many other names have been used to describe this vital, central ministry of Jesus to all who come to Him, and us and through us to each other. One name you don’t hear to often to describe this ministry is Sanctification, yet that is exactly what it is.

Scripture talks about husbands helping their wives to 26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.  Ephesians Chapter 5. In the book of Revelation we hear about Jesus referring to His Bride that “she has made herself ready”  Revelation 19:7 and many other verses. These all allude to us being made fit for the King and fit for the Kingdom!

The reality is if you have grown up on this planet, and most of your have! You have been hurt, taught wrong things, believed wrong things, and have wrong beliefs and understanding about things that are string and unshakable because they were rooted and grounded in you through your own personal experience through people you trusted. These ‘things’ I have just listed are what we call inner wounds. The are just like physical wounds, but they don’t heal as well. Their affects last for a lifetime, and they produce bad fruit in our lives and the lives of those we have influence over.

It is very clear that a principle part of Jesus reason for coming above and beyond Salvation, Forgiveness of sin, Reconciliation with the Father and Himself, he also wanted to undo the damage that living in a fallen world where sin abounds, and we have all been hurt in different ways by different people, situation, organisation, nations, even the church! Jesus is ready willing and able to embark on this Sanctifying healing journey as soon as we come to him and ask Him to receive us forgive us and receive the gift of eternal life. The problem is this can often be a process and not an event! It may be what he does with you and through all the days of the rest of your life here on planet Earth. Day by day, more healing and wholeness, fresh understanding from him, the Truth being revealed and SETTING YOU FREE from all that still entangles you. So why was this not all dealt with at the cross? It was, it is being, and it will be. As far as our account with Him is concerned in his ‘out of time-ness’, it’s already in the bank. For us we received and evidenced a huge portion of this when we gave our lives to Jesus, but there are still imperfection, in-forgiveness, bitterness in some people even after they have been saved. How can this be? One fact is certain. It is the case. In simple terms it seems that the job is done, but is being done and will be done. One of the problems individually is we do not do what we say will do when give our lives to Jesus. He knows that though and covers us with grace until the time when we and he are ready to deal with the issues that remained after the cross. because we would not release them. We held onto them as our free will choice! The upshot is it is as plain as the nose on your face, there is still ‘STUFF’ that is not yet as it should be, and it’s affecting, you and others and your relationship with Jesus. He wants to release you in all of these areas. It was for FREEDOM he set YOU FREE! The deal was abundant life! I’m still journeying into that life and enjoying every life changing moment as Jesus heals me and releases me and widens my horizons and leads me into a green and spacious place.

That’s why this ministry is so important. It is the finishing off phase of your journey here on Earth, and it will form and profoundly affect the way you minister Jesus to others and what they see in you as you do what he has prepared for you to do.
